HiX supports all processes and every health care professional in Intensive Care (IC). It ensures that every treating physician has the relevant data for the patient and offers handy tools that streamline the treatment of the patient and the work processes of health care professionals.

Intensive Care within HiX

Health care providers in the ICU have all of the previously logged data for each patient. From the history and the x-rays to the current medication or the information just entered in the ER. All information collected in the ICU is also immediately available to other health care professionals in the hospital. This also applies to the monitoring data and medication administered, because the system has an integrated PDMS and completely integrated medication record. It is thus no longer necessary to make a transfer when the patient goes to another department.

Changes are visible immediately

Changes to the patient's situation are visible immediately. Graphic overviews provide insight into how the patient reacts to prescribed medication. Clear charts show real-time values of (and the relationship between) vital parameters. Other details such as allergies, treatment plans, daily reports, orders, scores, medication and infusion policy, fluid balances, department transfers, trends and curves are also clearly presented. By showing and combining all of this information in a comprehensive manner, you can rapidly see if the plan followed is working.

MDC

The complete and updated overview of the medication, allergies and medical history of the patient is ideal during multi-disciplinary consultation (MDC). The findings of all MDC participants are shown combined so that everyone can see what is entered. Because one can see how the previous policy worked, the treating physicians, optimally informed, determine the further (follow-up) course during the MDC.

Entry and view on one screen

By splitting the screen, physicians can enter information and easily consult previous entries or reports. With entry and view next to each other, they keep an optimal overview and can collect information more easily and more efficiently.

Dynamic maps

Dynamic maps (Maps) within HiX enlarge the overview in the ICU. On these maps, nurses can see at a glance all patient characteristics and the the actions to be performed regarding patients, beds and rooms, for example.  Health care providers do not have to actively look for this information and can do their work more efficiently.

NICE provision

All data collected in the EPD can be reused.  HiX automatically generates, for example, all relevant data for the NICE provision from all entries.  HiX prepares this data so that they only have to be checked, updated if necessary and are ready for dispatch.  This lowers the data entry load.

Decision support

HiX provides support in the making of timely and optimally informed decisions. Has a lab result come back with a low potassium value?  HiX automatically runs a number of checks, including whether the patient is receiving enteral feeding. HiX then provides the physician with suggestions for follow-up actions to normalise the value (for example, a potassium pump - including the drip rate - and a verification moment). This is just one example of the many ways in which HiX can support the decision-making process (other examples include sepsis, comfort and glucose/insulin).
